Day 48 - ROAD

Three of my favourite things in one picture. Mr P (of course!), Wendy Willoughby (our campervan, which roughly translates as "Travelling Homestead") and........... the open road!!

So excited to be travelling up to Scotland to celebrate the now very imminent birthday and our wedding anniversary the day after too. Wahoooooo!

I'm so glad Gav and I collided when we did. The summer of 2018. A delirious tardis of a time. Which seemed to go on for ages for us. From our first date on July 3rd, to our engagement on September 3rd to our wedding day on November 3rd.

To others, I guess, it must have looked like a whirlwind. But to those who know us well, it made complete sense.

And now here we are! What a time. Two years in and it's just got more of a Fun Thing. And more than just a fun thing too.

So thankful to be sharing life with this man. Who's been in my prayers for some time....

Man Prayer
A man who’s stable and resolute. Who knows his mind and isn’t easily swayed. Who’s strong and supportive. Who doesn’t shy away from conflict and suffering and grief. Who’s funny and light of heart but who takes the important things seriously and thinks things through. Who practices forgiveness and is not embittered of heart. Who’s kind, compassionate and generous. Good to talk to and can stay in the present moment.

Picture in Malaga airport (Dec 1995!)
At the carousel. Waiting for the matching bag. Last one there. Almost giving up hope. then, finally, it arrives and it’s the most natural thing to pick it up, walk out of the airport and be on our way.

And it would seem, indeed, that it's definitely been worth the wait.
